How to get to the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre?
The Megaron Athens International Conference Centre is located at the junction of Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and Kokkali Street in the centre of Athens. Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is Athens’ main airport.
From the airport you can reach the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (approx. 30 minutes):
- By Metro (line 3): The Megaron AICC is accessible by underground railway. The metro stop is “Megaron Mousikis” (Music Megaron).
- By Bus (OASA X95): Buses are available at the arrivals level, between exit 4&5. Buses leave every 10-15 minutes. Bus stop Megaron Mousikis.
- By Taxi: Taxis are available at the designated Taxi waiting area located at Exit 3 at arrival level.
- By Car: Take Attiki Odos Avenue. Continue to Mesogeion Avenue and at the end turn right into Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. Follow the road for 0.6 miles and the Megaron AICC is on the right-hand side. The Megaron AICC has an underground parking facility.

Lunches
Participants who register on site for a Meet the Expert session or an Expert Group meeting will have a lunch box provided, otherwhise you will need to make your own provision at lunchtime.
Passports & visas
Greece is a member of the Schengen Agreement nations. Participants are requested to check with the Greece consulate or embassy in their home country or with their travel agency for visa requirements (http://www1.mfa.gr/en/visas/). The Congress Secretariat will be glad to assist you in this matter.
Currency
The currency in Greece is the Euro (€). All congress fees and rates are charged in Euro. No other currency will be accepted during the Congress.
Insurance, liability
ESC does not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance, and participants are strongly advised to take out their own personal insurance policies in their country of origin.
Electricity
Electric appliances in Greece work with 220 volts, ca. 50 Hz and plugs conform to the European system of round pins with two holes.
Translation
The official language of the congress will be English. There may be simultaneous translation into Russian and Greek. Some of the Society sessions may be held in the language of the organising country.
